An algorithm has been developed, programmed in Visual Basic, for the calculation of trays occupation in the Doraleh desalination plant located in Africa, through which we quickly and accurately knew the occupation of the electric trays, knowing thus the critical points of the cable routes, and the most suitable tray sizes for each section. We thus achieve more optimal routes, with the consequent saving of cables, trays, other materials, and labor.
